Fashion Shows

Chicks4Change was inspired by my closest friend, Brooke Winston – Axtell who, at the tender age of 21, suffered and survived a Stroke. In 2004 she became aware of the ASA’s Train to End Stroke program. In order to participate in their events you must reach a required fundraising minimum. We decided to pool our skill sets, talents, resources and Virgo Twin Goddess powers – my Radio show and community contacts, Brooke’s national swim wear company backing, and renowned “Fit Expert” reputation!

We began hosting a series of fashion show fundraisers. Thanks to the support of Danny &  Keli Carroll – Hendon of Barcelona, we held our 1st Annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Fashion Show featuring Chris Phillips and Marley Taylor of Zowie Bowie! Then Back to the Beach with special guest MIX 96.9′s Chris Parker, Every Body Wonderful and Hollywood Glam.

Long before Dove’s “Campaign for Natural Beauty”, our vision was to change the face of fashion shows forever! Our models were real women and men, our personal and professional friends, followers and supporters, age 17 – 72, size 2 – 24! Showcasing International swim & cruise wear lines to local retailers like About F.A.C.E. and the Blue Jean Buyer, to national Brands like Betsy Johnson! We hope you will enjoy our slide shows!
